Comments and Feedback

These comments are from people who have used this celebrant's services.

I'd like to strongly recommend Alastair as a funeral celebrant, without any reservation.  All of our family were glad that he had been recommended to us.  We felt confident as soon as we met him that he would make my father's funeral exactly right, and he did.

Alastair made time to meet our family in the evening and at very short notice in order to fit round our availability (we live in different parts of the country).  When we met, he came across as really interested in my father, even though he had never met him, and was patient as we all talked at once and got muddled about events and came up with different memories. He was very thorough in compiling a chronology to work from, and prompting us to think about and remember different aspects of Dad's life, including some funny stories.  It was really wonderful to have the chance to talk about Dad and share our memories and even learn things that some of us knew but others did not or had forgotten.  He was also open to us phoning or emailing afterwards if we remembered other things we wanted him to know about Dad.

When it came to the service, it was reassuring to know that Alastair had all our stories and memories to work from, and it meant that we could enjoy listening to what was really Dad's story.  Lots of other people who attended the funeral learned about aspects of Dad's life that they had not known about and it really felt like a celebration of the fullness of the life he had lived.
