My background is in theatre, working as an actor and in arts education, teaching drama and singing. I wanted to become a celebrant to offer a truly inclusive, articulate and empathic service that is uniquely personal.
It is important to me to help capture the very essence of the deceased with sensitivity and empathy, while tailoring the ceremony to your wishes. This is a collaborative process which can be formal with elements of faith or spirituality to reflect the beliefs of your loved one. Alternatively, it can be non-religious and/or celebratory in nature.
I will work alongside you and discuss your needs and wishes fully. I will help you tell the story of the person who has died as you would wish it to be told and discuss some of the practical aspects with you.You will have the opportunity to check the content beforehand and I will provide a full copy of the ceremony for you to keep afterwards.

Qualifications
I hold the National Qualification NOCN Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Funeral Celebrancy (RQF),
which is the highest level of Qualification in the UK. (I also hold the Level 3 taken previously.)
As a Level 4 national qualification, this course is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s
degree and is considered as advanced learning. As a newly developed course through Civil Ceremonies, I am one of a small handful of celebrants to carry this qualification.
I am a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants and a member of the Funeral Celebrant Accord.
I hold Public Liability Insurance and Public Indemnity Insurance.
