Martin conducted my mother's funeral service a few days ago. My sister and I were very happy with all that he did for us. Martin spent a good deal of time talking to us about our mother's life and this really came over in the service. His words were well chosen to fill in the gaps of our personal contributions and drew a warm and sensitive picture of our mother's life. Many attendees commented on Martin's sincere words and gentle humour. I was very happy that people felt the service was inclusive of all regardless of whether they held religious beliefs or not.

We were introduced to Martin via the wonderful team at Haine & Co. (Polegate), and he led the most wonderful celebration of my dear Dad’s life on Tuesday at Eastbourne Crematorium. Weaving the loveliest eulogy from our recollections - and his skilful but incredibly gentle questions - we didn’t need to change a single thing at the review stage. His tone on the day was pitch-perfect, and his warmth and genuine care was evident to all our (large) family and friends who attended the service. There were plenty of chuckles during his eulogy, which was the perfect reflection of my Dad (Martin Smith) and our memories of him. Thank you for making such a sad day SO much easier, Martin, and setting the scene for a lovely afternoon of memory-sharing and laughter. We will be forever grateful to you.
