roger, my thanks for conducting the funeral of my mother betty gardiner, it was just how she would have liked it to be, you have a certain calmness about you that was paramount for us on the day, personally it was a day i was dreading but you kept me re-assured with eye contact as i was trying to be calm for the children, we had so many comments of how nice and what a good choice, but at the end of the day we went home knowing mum would have been proud, many thanks again roger, best wishes paul gardiner and dad percy.

Highly recommend Roger. He was so calming and helpful both in the lead up to and during my dad's funeral. Even made my little one feel at ease. Thank you Roger Wheeler for the excellent support and service provided for my mums funeral. It was never going to be an easy day or time as mum was so very important to myself and my family along with her many friends. The tribute you provided though was so very moving and was really personal to my mum. It felt as if you had known my mum for many years. We all appreciate the time you must have taken to both meet with my dad and brother and then to prepare the tribute, I really don’t think anything could have made it more perfect. You managed to perfectly gather the information needed and put together the order of service seamlessly. You even at times managed to make me smile with the fond memories. Your overall manner was so very reassuring and you helped the service run smoothly. We had many comments saying what a lovely service it was.

I am very pleased to recommend Roger Wheeler who was the celebrant for my dad’s wedding. He was very accommodating around our schedule – even coming over to meet us on a blustery Sunday as we could not make it another time. He was polite and very helpful, particularly with suggesting a suitable poem, which I had struggled to find. Roger produced a very good tribute and was happy to amend it when I realised I had got some of the facts wrong. He also spoke for my brother who was too emotional to speak himself. Our service was unconventional, just like my dad, but Roger managed to convey that with dignity but without too much solemnity. It was a celebration and many people afterwards said we got it just right. My dad, Terry, would have approved.
