Hi, I’m Angie. I’m an Independent Funeral Celebrant. Independent means that although celebrants can be booked via a Funeral Director, you can also book me directly.

I offer a caring, empathic service, bringing my additional skillset as a counsellor. I've been helping people in crisis for over 30 years. I provide religious and non-religious celebrations of life.

People are often thrown into arranging their loved one's funeral with no prior experience. I'm here to guide you through the process. I will support you through this difficult time and deliver a farewell befitting of your loved one. I'm an eloquent and articulate speaker with extensive expertise in public speaking. Together we can create a service befitting of your loved one.

I'll meet with you and/or your family and take you through planning your loved one's final farewell. I'll guide you through the process, putting together tributes and helping you select photos for a slideshow if you’d like one or video. I'll explain everything to you and support you every step of the way in this difficult time. I'll suggest poems, if you would like one, and order the music of your choice. I'll also liaise with the Funeral Director, every step of the way, so everyone knows your wishes.

I'm empathic and caring and bring an additional skill set as I've been a Counsellor/Psychotherapist for over 20 years and spent 35 years in helping and support professions.


Many people think that celebrants can't take a religious ceremony. They can, but not inside a church without explicit permission from the priest. They can include things in the service for your loved one, like the Lord's prayer, a hymn or a reading from the Bible. It's entirely your choice.

Many people aren't aware they can choose a venue and that the service doesn't have to be in a church or crematorium. It can take place in a club that your loved one was a member of, your garden, on a beach, or in woodlands. You may need to seek permission for some of these but that's not a difficult thing to do.
