CELEBRANCY BACKGROUND
20 years Funeral experience as Vicar, Hospice Chaplain and Funeral Celebrant

I have been in Church of England ministry taking funerals for families for two decades, having most recently served patients and their families as palliative care Chaplain at Countess Mountbatten Hospice and now as Funeral Celebrant. During this time, I mostly conducted less religious or humanist services and so now as a Celebrant I specialise in conducting both these but also more spiritual and religious services as desired. I shape services to be uniquely tailored to both account for the wishes of the loved one who has died and to meet the desired expectations of their families. I have a vast experience of conducting less formal, even relaxed celebrations of life but I also have conducted memorials and formal full military services, including to commemorate the Battle of Britain for the RAFA, RBL Remembrance Festivals/Parades and Hospice Memorials. Whether a family desire a simple short service or a detailed longer memorial, I will help guide you through anything from music timing to Eulogy composition. In liaison with the Funeral Director, I will help produce your favoured design of Order of Service, whilst implementing specific instructions to personalise the service for your loved one on the day. Drawing on my experience as a Chaplain and before then as Vicar, I can also offer complimentary optional bereavement support to families on request. For me it's about meeting the expectations of families, whilst honouring and best representing the life of the person who has died.
