Hello, I’m Lucy. I’m a trusted independent funeral celebrant and storyteller, standing beside families, friends, and individuals as they prepare to mark the life and death of someone they love — whether that’s through a traditional ceremony, celebration of life, or memorial service.

Inspired by the serene stillness of the Peak District hills and the Cheshire Plain, I’ll work with you to calmly craft a funeral service that brings love and light to a challenging time, so you can ‘do right’ by the person we’re honouring.

Drawing upon my academic career, celebrancy training, and profound personal experience with loss, I’ll offer a listening ear and act as a peaceful presence as you carefully consider your choices. From my home in Macclesfield, I’ll weave your wishes and treasured tales into a ceremony script that holds space for joy and sadness and celebrates their life and legacy.

From live music to quiet reflection, cherished memories to candle lighting, the ceremony can include many thoughtful touches. It can be held at a crematorium or natural burial ground, in a garden or outdoor space, at home or in another meaningful venue. We can also plan a traditional funeral with elements you find especially comforting and familiar. Anything is possible.
