Jon Matson-Higgins
Description
I was born and raised in Peterborough and moved to London in 1992, whereby I worked in a demanding high-profile management role. This lifestyle with time took a toll upon my wellbeing and health; an all too familiar story these days.
Owing to this I chose to give up my life and career in London. Moving to Brighton to strengthen a fresh, relaxed, and peaceful lifestyle by the sea whilst cherishing my time with family and friends. I love living by the sea and upon the edge of the South Downs National Park and have found this incredibly calming and re-energising.
Prior to moving to London, I trained as a nurse and very quickly realised this route was not for me. In addition, I pursued training as a complementary therapist at Peterborough City College, evolving to holding the position of Principal and Senior tutor up until January 2021. During my time within nursing and complementary therapies, I have heavily specialised in palliative and end-of-life care. In addition to proudly having ceremonial experience of a number of years as the verger at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. Thus, attending and participating in many weddings and funerals and services as such. In 2024, I took the decision to move back to Lincolnshire to be closer to my family.
