Evelyn celebrated the funeral of our son, Christopher Westwell, in January 2011 at Bracknell Crematorium. Both before and during the event she was caring and calm and helped us greatly, making suggestions for the layout of the ceremony booklet in keeping with our son's wishes (instructions?) and ensuring that the event followed his detailed requirements. We found it an surprisingly uplifting occasion due to both Christopher and Evelyn for managing to pick up his wishes very successfully.

Evelyn conducted my wife’s funeral at Woking Crematorium in January 2011. Evelyn met with myself and close family to reminisce about her life and discuss our plans for the service. At that time the plan amounted to ‘simple/nonreligious’ in accordance with what my wife had written. Evelyn drafted a celebration of her life and was very open to amendments to the text. I could not find additional words of comfort until Evelyn suggested a lovely reading from a very unexpected source. As days passed the service grew and Evelyn adjusted the running order so that all of the elements came together beautifully. Evelyn maintained calm control throughout the development and delivery of the service. Everyone who passed comment was surprised that she was not a well hidden family friend! I was not looking forward to the funeral, but it was an event on which I can look back with contentment. Thank you Evelyn.

Over the past five years Evelyn has conducted family funerals for my Great Aunt and Uncle and both Grandparents. On all occassions her support, suggestions and amount of time and effort she has spent has helped us to create very personal and memorable celebrations of 'life lived long', patiently working with us to create very individual services on all occasions.  Never flapping, always helpful, always patient. We have been touched by Evelyn's very personal touches.  She feels like one of the family herself, she knows us and we know and trust her.   We wanted to speak at the services and knowing she was there, willing us on and ready to step in if we found it too difficult, meant that we were able to fullfill our wishes too.  By having Evelyn we have been able to focus on our grief and creating a personal and individual send off that, although have been sad times, have truly been celebrations of lives lived.  We could not recommend Evelyn highly enough.

We found Evelyn's website very shortly after my husband died in May this year and we immediately warmed to the lovely, honest, open information she provided. I wanted to arrange as much of the funeral myself as I could and even though this task seemed daunting initially, Evelyn made it easy and offered advice and support at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Evelyn was always available, returned telephone calls quickly and spent time with my self and my 3 sons and was so thoughtful. As other people have said, Evelyn feels like one of the family and I cannot recommend her and her service highly enough. Thank you Evelyn.

We have had so many friends and
family asking after Evelyn and asked if she was a close member of our family as she came across as a friend as she conducted the funeral for my beloved Dad.

They said they loved what she said and how she told the stories and how the funeral was one of the nicest they'd been to.

We explained we had only met Evelyn once in person before the event but they all said it seemed like she knew the family so well.

I will alwys recommend Evelyn for anyone asking for a nice send off.
