My father Richard Hall better known to his family & friends as Dick regretfully passed away this December & we obtained the services of Katie Deverell. From the start she showed great compassion & was able to help my family through this very difficult time. She tailor-made a service around my father’s beliefs whilst ensuring she was sympathetic to my own faith. I strongly believe that Katie has found her true calling & would heartily recommend her services to everyone.

Katie you did a fantastic service for my Dad Fred Trevillion who passed away peacefully at the end of December.
All of us who have been involved with you were very very impressed with your professionalism and also the care and kindness that you showed us. Your oratory for Fred was exactly as we had wanted, it was what we wanted to celebrate his life, you listened, took notes and then put those into words that we probably could not have. Several comments were mentioned by attendees after the service at how good you were.

Katie was professional, thorough and the perfect person to complete the ceremony for our Dad. From her initial visit she somehow captured the essence of what we wanted to celebrate about him, linked personal memories to the reading and delivered an uplifting account of the life of a great man - he had wanted his funeral to be a celebration of life, and thanks to Katie this is exactly what he got.

Katie helped us through a very difficult time in our lives when myself and my Dad were faced with organising a service for my Mum. We wanted Mum's service to be a celebration of her life, and although it was a sad, sad day, we felt that with Katie's help, guidance and kindness we achieved that for her.

Right from the initial meeting with Katie to plan my dad's funeral we have been touched by the compassion, care and attention that Katie has shown. She listened to our memories and comments and created a ceremony that completely captured my dad's character and personality. Nothing was too much trouble; her suggestions were invaluable.
We were able to celebrate the 91 years of his life and, although so sad to say goodbye to him, we are able to move on positively knowing that, thanks to Katie, he was given the very best "send-off" possible.

We are so very grateful that Katie was recommended to us to conduct our Beloved Darren's Funeral. We wanted to celebrate Darren's life and although it was a very,very sad day, Katie managed to capture Darren's personality perfectly. She conducted his funeral with love, compassion and humor It felt that Katie knew him personally such was her manner and for that we shall be eternally grateful, it made a very,very hard day a bit easier to bare.

Today the 6th August 2013 we laid our beloved Darren's Ashes to rest and Katie was there to help us through another difficult day. You will see below that Katie conducted Darren's funeral 9 months ago and I cannot stress enough, what a lovely,warm person Katie is.Once again she wrote with compassion and put across the love we feel for Darren.

23/06/2016. Three sons decided that we wanted our mothers funeral to be a celebration of her life and tell a story of happy times, we luckily chose Katie! What a wonderful, calm and considerate person she is. Katie has the experience to guide you and to encourage you to share what ever your thoughts and memories are, to write a story that best reflects your loved ones life. Katie wrote and delivered a wonderful service that really captured our mother's personality. Several family members commented on it being "the best" funeral service they had attended, I think under the circumstances, what more could one ask?

13/4/2017. My Dad had MND and had expressed a wish to have a 'humanist' funeral when the time came. Katie was recommended by a friend and she fulfilled our needs perfectly and with extreme sensitivity, which went a long way to helping us through a difficult time. Katie spent some time in person and by email ensuring that we were entirely happy with how the service would go. Many of Dads family and friends commented afterwards what a perfect Celebration of Dads life it was and how, unexpectedly, they'd enjoyed hearing our memories and chosen readings. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katie.
