Comments and Feedback

These comments are from people who have used this celebrant's services.

When my mum passed away in October 2010, I wanted to ensure her funeral was one, which would capture her life and include all the things which made her special. Marie's details were passed to us through our funeral directors and we couldnt have asked for anymore more special than her to perform the service for us.

The service was beautiful and truly reflected Mum. Everyone commented on how lovely it was and how well she captured all the important elements of Mum's life. It truely was a celebration of someone very special.

My family and I are unsure at the moment what do you with Mum's ashes. It still feels like too much to think about. I'm hoping that something will just come to one of us and it will just click and feel right. However, if we do decide to hold a little service, Marie would be the first and only lady for us to use, especially as we all truly believe that our Mum has touched her and her life. A Big Big thank you for truly being the right person for the job. You captured Mum's personality to a tee in her celebration of life.

With Love
Karen Alton, daughter of Kathryn Shepherd

Thank you Marie for conducting my wife's funeral service. You made a very sad day, special. Kath would have been proud.

Thank you Bob for this kind review of my services. I was honoured to have been chosen by your funeral director to conduct Kath's celebration of life, then by yourself only a few weeks later to conduct your fathers service. Stay strong.
Marie.

I attended a funeral for a good friend conducted by Marie. Her people skills are phenomenal. Her speaking abilities are unmatched. I have never encountered anyone that tells a life story like Marie does. I can hang on her every word and wonder where the time went. She made a difficult day just beautiful and brought my friend back to life during the ceremony through her words and eulogy. Many people have commented on Marie’s well thought out and sensitive remarks at the service and the great job she did. She satisfied everyone’s spiritual needs that was very important to us all!  I would recommend Marie to anyone and everyone. She is one of gods gifts to the world!

Thank you for this lovely comment, I am not sure who you are or which funeral this was but rest assured I am very proud of it's content and I will strive hard to live up to it in the years to come. I love this work. Warm regards Marie.

I know Marie both on a personal level and professional one.  We worked together during our celebrancy course and I have seen Marie grow from strength to strength.  This lady is truly dedicated to the work of a celebrant and puts in a tremendous amount of hard work on each and every occasion, ensuring the families she serves, are dealt with - in a dignified and compassionate way.  Every service is unique and personal and this is a reflection of Marie's natural gift of being able to assist people during one of the most difficult times in their lives.  Marie supports and fundraises for worthy charities in what little spare time she has which is further testament to her professionalism.  I know I can turn to her when I need help and she is always there, never too busy and that is appreciated always.  As a fellow celebrant and fully qualified Funeral Director, I would not hesitate to recommend Marie to one of my clients/family members or friends.  With love and appreciation for all you do, Annette (MacDonald, Dip FD. MBIFD)

Marie and I grew up together and we have kept crossing each other's paths every few years. I know that Marie has always been a people person and when I heard that she had become a celebrant I knew that this was the right thing for Marie. My father passed away and I was able to engage Marie to carry out the service. Marie did a fantastic job, communicating with those relatives that do not live in this country, making sure that all those important details to all members of the family were included in the service. I would like to say, as a friend and a professional, we could not have asked for a better standard of service. Thanks Marie for all you did. It will never be forgotten by our family. You are the best.

“When my Mother in Law Una Pearce passed away in October
2011 Marie’s input was invaluable. We wanted Una’s Celebration of Life Service
to be unique just like Una. After we met Marie Stuart said to me “I want Mum’s
funeral to be the best funeral ever”. We both agreed that it certainly was.

Without Marie’s hard work it just would not have been the
same.

I was very anxious about the arrangements before the day-but
Marie’s help and support made it much easier to cope  and helped me to relinquish responsibility.

We have had so much positive feedback about the day from both
friends and family. - “What a wonderful service, Una would have loved the day”
this is what we set out to achieve. Someone actually said to Stuart, almost
apologetically “I know that this is a strange thing to say but I really enjoyed
your mum’s funeral!

We know that Una would have enjoyed her day-and you made all
of that happen and we cannot thank Marie enough. Thank you.

Thank you for this lovely Testimonial Annette, I feel totally humbled by it. You have helped me grow as a funeral celebrant with your invaluable input and your consistant mentoring especially in difficult circumstances, in your capacity as a funeral director. What better help and support could a celebrant want. Your friendship is of equal importance to me. Much love and respect always. Marie x

Thank you very much Paula, genuine reviews are important to my future clients. It was an honour to conduct your precious dads funeral. It was a learning curve to communicate by skype, email and telephone with your sister and her family in Australia. Thank you for your continual support and friendship. Marie x

Thank you to Elaine and all Unas's family. This was a beautiful ceremony attended by hundreds of Guest, the poloce had to close off part of the route as nothing was left to chance. Lots of Lilac balloons were released at the ceremony in the gardens. The funeral director commented on how different Una's celebration of life was. Tribute to a very special lady. Peter...the ROYAL piper who plays for the Queen and her family and played for Prince William at last years Royal Wedding. Peter attends many of my ceremonies and celebration of life ceremonies, piping the loved one into the service and then piping the family out. A very touching moment that remains in their hearts for ever. Photograph with permission.
